On the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism, Priest Ioann Kabanov held a conversation with cadets of the Suit of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russiatranslated

On September 3, on the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism, the curator of the Samara Law Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia from the Samara Diocese, Priest Ioann Kabanov, met with first-year cadets. The pastoral conversation was dedicated to the tragic events of September 2004 in the city of Beslan and the danger of extremism in the modern world. Priest John addressed the future officers in an accessible manner, explaining the spiritual and social danger of terror. The clergyman emphasized that any attempts to justify violence with religious slogans are a blasphemous perversion of faith, and the terrorists themselves go not only against common sense, but also against the commandments of God. During the dialogue with the students, Priest John Kabanov called on the cadets to cultivate an inner spiritual core and vigilance. According to the priest, it is loyalty to goodness and professional duty that will help them in their future service to become reliable fighters against manifestations of evil and defenders of the Fatherland.
At the end of the meeting, the cadets thanked Father John for his edifying words, and the priest admonished the freshmen with the traditional wish: “With God, on all roads!”
