On July 17, in the evening on the day of remembrance of the holy Royal Passion-Bearers - Emperor Nicholas II, Empress Alexandra, Tsarevich Alexy and the Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria and Anastasia - His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary performed a prayer service in the chapel in the name of the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers, located near Alexander Nevsky Church on the territory of the Bendery Fortress. The last Russian Emperor visited this church before the Brusilov breakthrough on May 9, 1916, taking part in a divine service and review of troops. During the service, the first assistant to the Ruling Bishop, Archimandrite John (Danilescu), the dean of the Bendery district, Archpriest Michael Lungu, the clergy and believers who came to prayerfully honor the memory of the holy Royal Family prayed with His Eminence the Bishop.
