For the tenth year now, the Sacrament has been celebrated at the rotunda on the city beach, and for the fifth year in a row, the Divine Liturgy has been served here so that converts can immediately receive the Holy Mysteries of Christ for the first time. This year, 12 people received the Sacrament of Baptism - from infants to older people. In just ten years, more than 200 people were baptized in the waters of Lake Sinara. After the service, the rector of the Snezhinsky churches, Priest Pavel Bespalov, recalled that the Baptism of Rus' was the beginning of a new spiritual life for the people, and it is important for every Christian to preserve the gift received in the Sacrament of Baptism. “If it seems to us that God has left us, then we need to ask ourselves: “Lord, where did I leave You? And how can I return to You?” The Lord does not cease to love a person, but it is important not to move away from the Source of life and love,” the priest noted. Father Paul paid special attention to the example of the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir, whose heart after Baptism was so transformed by the love of Christ that he was ready to refuse even harsh punishments.
