Denis Lapotyshkin, a deputy of the Chelyabinsk City Duma, director of the Ural Lightning Ice Palace named after L. Skoblikova, was unanimously elected chairman. His deputy was Boris Vaganov, coordinator of the Chelyabinsk branch of the “Forty Sorokov” movement, project manager of the Chelyabinsk branch of the World Russian People's Council. Natalya Tereshchuk, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor of the Department of Economics and Management of the South Ural Technological University, member of the ARNS expert council, was elected secretary of the council. The head of the sports department, Priest Andrei Kovshevny, presented the participants with the Regulations on the Board of Trustees, approved by Metropolitan Alexy. Boris Vaganov spoke about the work of the department and the “Faith and Sport” project, which has already gone beyond Chelyabinsk and received support in other large cities in the region. The participants agreed on the department’s work plan and discussed further projects, including Chelyabinsk’s participation in the International Summer Sports Games of the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky.
