The Chelyabinsk diocese announced the winners of a children's drawing competitiontranslated

The Chelyabinsk Diocese hosted a meeting of the Jury of the V Diocesan Children's Art Competition “The Beauty of God's World in the Fairy Tales of the Peoples of Russia” in 2026.

The competition was attended by students from preschool educational institutions, general education organizations, additional education organizations, and students from Sunday schools of the Chelyabinsk diocese.

“Today we are immersed in an amazing atmosphere - the energy of childhood, direct thinking, sincere, unclouded perception. We saw an amazing overlap between fairy tales and reality, magic and everyday life,” said Monk Georgy (Shagovykh), head of the Department of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Chelyabinsk Diocese, sharing his impressions.

The following works were recognized as winners:

Alexandra Burmatova (7 years old), drawing “Silver Hoof”, Sunday school of the church in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God “Unexpected Joy”, Chelyabinsk;

Shvaleva Elena (6 years old), drawing “Mistress of the Copper Mountain”, Sunday school of the Church of the Holy Trinity, Miass;
