With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass, on Tuesday, August 25, a prayer service will be held at the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ for the beginning of the school year. Representatives of the sports federations of boxing, wrestling, judo, sambo, MMA and Kyokushin karate will take part in the service. According to tradition, students, schoolchildren and their parents will pray to the Lord, the Most Holy Theotokos and all the saints for help in their studies, strengthening their spiritual and physical strength. At the end of the prayer service, demonstration performances by young athletes will take place on the square in front of the cathedral, during which everyone will be able to see the skill and beauty of sports disciplines. Thematic sites of sports federations will also operate.
