A decade since the Holy and Great Council of Crete: Scientific Conference in Francetranslated

A conference on the Holy and Great Council of Crete began on Monday in Chantilly, France, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of this church event.
The International Scientific Conference "Holy and Great Synod of the Orthodox Church (2016-2026): Evaluation and Perspectives" is organized by the Ecumenical Patriarchate from October 5-8 and includes several thematic sessions at which presentations are made by hierarchs of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, abbots and abbesses, scientists and culture.
The first day The event was opened on Monday by His Holiness Bartholomew I, Ecumenical Patriarch, and His Eminence Father Emanuel, Metropolitan of Chalcedon, hosted the event on behalf of the Organizing Committee.
Metropolitan Bartholomew of Smyrna (Ecumenical Patriarchate), Metropolitan Gregory of Cameroon (Patriarchy of Alexandria) and Metropolitan Ignatius of Demetriada (Church of Greece) gave presentations.
Jean-François Colosimo, director of the prestigious Cerf publishing house in Paris and archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, gave the presentation "Primate and chenosis: The synodal service of the Ecumenical Patriarchate".
