Grand opening of the harvesting campaign in the Polotsk regiontranslated

On July 23, the grand opening of the harvesting campaign took place in the Polotsk region. The district leadership, managers and machine operators of agricultural enterprises arrived in the field near the village of Latyshki, Farinovsky village council.

The participants of the event were the rector of the parish of the Church of the Presentation of the Lord and St. Seraphim of Sarov. Vetrino of the Polotsk deanery, Archpriest Vladimir Ratkovich and the church choir.

The celebration was opened by the Chairman of the Polotsk District Executive Committee Vasily Nikolaevich Shilov. The head of the district thanked the village workers for their efforts in preparing feed and wished the grain growers success in harvesting.

Artists of the folklore group “Bliznyanka” congratulated those present and showed the traditional folk ritual “Zazhinki”.

Father Vladimir performed a prayer service for the beginning of every good deed, blessed the grain growers, wished God's help in carrying out the harvesting work, and then blessed the agricultural equipment.
