Ceremonial line-up at the Novopolotsk Music Collegetranslated

September 2, 2026 · 1 min read

On September 1, the traditional solemn assembly dedicated to the Day of Knowledge took place at the Novopolotsk College of Music. The students and teachers were cordially congratulated on the start of the new education by the chief specialist of the cultural department of the Novopolotsk City Executive Committee, Anastasia Nikolaevna Furs, and the director of the college, Oksana Mikhailovna Matveichenko.

Sofia Mikhailova, a 4th year graduate of the musicology specialty, addressed the first-year students and graduates of the college with parting words.

College students presented bright creative performances to all those present.

After the Ceremonial Assembly, all students gathered in the assembly hall for a single lesson “Knowledge today is the strength and prosperity of Belarus tomorrow!” The invited guest of honor, Archpriest Georgy Skobey, cleric of the parish of the Church in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God “Unexpected Joy” in Novopolotsk, said a parting word to students and students. “Congratulations on Knowledge Day! May every day be filled with new knowledge, interesting meetings and many creative ideas,” Father George said in his address.

It’s good that Father George came and simply, kindly talked to the guys. Well done Sofia Mikhailova for speaking to the freshmen, she herself had just graduated. And the creative performances on the lineup are always the most enjoyable, especially in a music college.

Good to see Father George there giving the kids a straightforward talk. Sophia Mikhailova stepping up right after finishing her own studies shows some real poise. Those student performances must have been the best part of the morning.
