Students and teaching staff from the "Anastasia Popescu" Orthodox Pedagogical High School in Bucharest started the new school year with prayer.

The celebration was opened with the singing of the National Anthem of Romania and the High School Anthem (poem "Prayer" by Mihai Eminescu). Immediately afterwards, a Te Deum service was held.

The council was formed by Father Florin Nectarie Busuioc, Archdeacon of the 3rd Capital Sector, Father Alin Hotcoleanu, Parish Priest of the "St. Nicholas" Church - Negustori, and Father Marius Mihail Desagă, Parish Priest of the "St. Anton" Church - Curtea Veche, Patriarchal Chapel.

"The Anastasia Popescu Orthodox Pedagogical High School operates with the blessing of the Blessed Father Patriarch Daniel, under the special care of the Church, offering excellence in education. It is a European school, it is a school that has produced prestigious students who are studying today both at universities in the country and abroad", declared the archpope Florin Nectarie Busuioc.

Thanks for this story. It is good that they start the year with Te Deum, not only with anthems. I liked the words of Father Florin Nektarie Busuyok - that they are working with the blessing of Patriarch Daniel and children are continuing in foreign universities. If only it were like that in our schools in Batumi.

Good start for kids. I liked that Fr. Florin Nektarie Busiuoc mentioned that it operates with the blessing of Patriarch Daniel and produces students who also go to foreign universities. Here in Greece, we too would like such schools to start with Te Deum instead of just hymns.
