St. John’s Camp Program’s Announces 2026 Emmaus Retreat

INDIANAPOLIS, IN [DOM] – The St. John Camp of Indianapolis, IN, has announced their upcoming one day retreat on October 10. The event will offer speaking sessions, fellowship, and lunch with child care is available for children ages 2-12. Children under 2 are free.

The event will welcome Archimandrite Sergius, the Abbot of St. Tikhon’s Monastery in South Canaan, PA, as their main speaker. Fr. Sergius is a Lecturer of Spirituality at St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, and is the author of the book “ Acquiring the Mind of Christ: Embracing the Vision of the Orthodox Church ”, which will be the focus of the retreat.

The 2026 Emmaus Retreat is an all-ages, all parishes gathering held at St. Constantine and St. Elena Romanian Orthodox Church in Indianapolis, IN.

Интересно, что в этот раз возьмут за основу книгу «Acquiring the Mind of Christ». У меня она стоит на полке, но до конца так и не дочитал. Может, на ретрите получится наконец разобраться, особенно с таким спикером, как архимандрит Сергий.

Хорошая новость, что в этот раз за основу берут именно «Acquiring the Mind of Christ». У меня тоже эта книга лежит, пару глав прочитала, а дальше застряла. Может, после ретрита с архимандритом Сергием наконец дочитаю до конца.

Да, у меня тоже эта книга лежит недочитанной — где-то после половины застрял. Архимандрит Сергий как раз хорошо объясняет, особенно когда говорит про «видение Церкви», а не просто теорию. Пойдёшь на ретрит? Может, вместе потом обсудим, что не понял.

Áno, aj ja mám tú knihu „Acquiring the Mind of Christ“ už dva roky na poličke a zastavila som sa niekde pri kapitole o modlitbe. Keď bude archimandrit Sergius osobne vysvetľovať, možno sa mi to konečne rozlezie. Dieťa máme ešte predškoláka, takže sa teším, že bude childcare zadarmo.

The book is indeed quite challenging; I have it on my shelf as well, but I've only reached the chapter on "Heartfelt Attention." As for the retreat, I'm definitely going, because it will probably be much clearer in person from Archimandrite Sergius. Have you already decided, Maxim, to take someone with you or go alone?
