On August 6, 2026, the burial ceremony of Archpriest Georgy Shevtsov was performed. With the blessing of His Eminence John, Archbishop of Brest and Kobrin, the funeral service was led by the dean of the churches of the Brest city district, Archpriest Peter Romanovich, in the co-service of the dean churches: Brest district of Archpriest Vladimir Kornelyuk, Kobrin district of Archpriest Sergius Utrata, Drogichin district of Archpriest John Pinchuk, Kamenets district Archpriest Sergius Burkovsky, Malorita district Archpriest Victor Poletilo, as well as the Berezovsky deanery and representatives of the clergy of the Brest diocese and the Belarusian Orthodox Church.

In front of a huge crowd of worshippers, representatives of the district administration and heads of enterprises in the city of Bereza came to say goodbye to the deceased. The following people prayed during the service: Abbot Simeon (Shevtsov), rector of the Church of the Supreme Apostles Peter and Paul in Novaya Basmannaya Sloboda, Moscow; Archpriest Grigory Pilipchuk, dean of the churches of the Ivatsevichi district; Archpriest Peter Pilipchuk, dean of the churches of the Gantsevichi district; Archpriest Nikolai Gubsky, Dean of the Likhoslavl District, Bezhetsk Diocese, Tver Metropolis.
