Employees of the Serov and Krasnoturinsk diocese took part in the International Meeting of Sobriety and Health in Mariinsktranslated

From July 9 to July 15, 2026, the International Meeting of Sobriety and Health was held in the village of Mariinsk (Ekaterinburg Metropolitanate). The event was attended by the head and employees of the department for the promotion of sobriety and the prevention of addictions of the Serov and Krasnoturinsk diocese, Priest Sergius Glinskikh.

The rally program was rich and varied. In the theoretical part, participants listened to a number of scientific and educational lectures and conversations dedicated to:

the history of the culture of sobriety in Russian society and the role of the Russian Orthodox Church in this process; the relevance of establishing sobriety in the rear to support those who defend the Fatherland; issues of family ethics; rules for providing medical care to victims.

In addition to the educational component, divine services became an important part of the gathering - participants took part in prayer services and festive liturgies. There was also a discussion of documentaries about the exploits of participants in a special military operation (attack aircraft, artillerymen, intelligence officers, doctors and military drivers), filmed by E. V. Malyonkin. The creative line of the program was continued by interactive classes and competitions within the framework of the All-Russian project “Common Cause”.
