A meeting of the Diocesan Council of the Tiraspol-Dubossary Diocese was heldtranslated

On September 8, an extraordinary meeting of the Diocesan Council of the Tiraspol-Dubossary Diocese was held at the diocesan administration, chaired by His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary. The meeting was attended by the secretary of the diocese, Archpriest John Kalmyk, the first assistant to the Ruling Bishop, Archimandrite John (Danilescu), and the dean of the Dubossary, Grigoriopol, Bendery and Central districts of the diocese, Archpriests Georgy Lisovsky, Marin Sorochan, Mikhail Lungu and Sergiy Verbitsky. Opening the meeting, the Ruling Bishop addressed the members of the Diocesan Council with an opening speech, after which the order of further work was determined. One of the main issues on the agenda was the consideration of petitions from proteges for ordination to the priesthood. Members of the Diocesan Council considered the petition of Deacon Gennady Gnatyuk for ordination as a presbyter and the petition of Alexander Vyacheslavovich Naidich for ordination as a deacon.
During the meeting, disciplinary issues, current issues in the life of the Tiraspol-Dubossary diocese and other topics submitted for consideration by the Diocesan Council were also discussed.
