A word that cures radicalization: a youth memorial event in the city of Ivanovo on the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorismtranslated

On September 3, the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism, a traditional youth memorial event took place on Victory Square in the city of Ivanovo.

It brought together about 600 people - students of Ivanovo universities, colleges and technical schools, activists of children's and youth public associations, representatives of government and law enforcement agencies, participants of the SVO and their families, as well as concerned residents. A minute of silence and the laying of flowers at the foot of the monument to the Great Martyr George the Victorious became part of the traditional protocol.

The participants of the action were addressed by the Chairman of the Ivanovo City Duma Alexander Kuzmichev, the head of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Frunzensky district of the city of Ivanovo Sergei Smirnov and the co-chairman of the Association of Veterans of the North Military District of the Ivanovo Region, a graduate of the Presidential program “Time of Heroes” Vitaly Drozdov. They noted the importance of preserving the historical memory of the people, consolidating the entire society in the face of common threats, as well as preventing similar tragic events in the future.
