Romanian Orthodox parish in Malta seeks book donations for new multilingual community library

The Romanian Orthodox Parish of the Nativity of St John the Baptist in Valletta , Malta, plans to establish a parish library for parishioners, catechumens, children and all those who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the Orthodox faith, Romanian culture and the spiritual roots of our people.
“We gladly welcome books that help sustain the national identity of Romanians in Malta: volumes on Romanian history, traditions, culture, the Romanian language, classical and contemporary Romanian literature, as well as books for children,” said Fr Alexandru Popescu, the Romanian parish priest in Valletta.
“As a Romanian parish in the diaspora, but one serving an international community, we need books in several languages: Romanian, English, Church Slavonic, Serbian, Russian, Ukrainian, German and other widely spoken languages,” the priest added.
Orthodox books, catechisms, Bibles, Psalters, Lives of the Saints, prayer books, patristic literature, works on spirituality, liturgical books and materials that support the catechesis of catechumens are especially welcome.
