PS Paisie Sinait: Christ the Savior is not limited to the healing of external symptoms, but targets the whole persontranslated

"The Gospel reveals to us a fundamental truth: the work of Christ is not limited to the healing of external symptoms, but aims at the restoration of the whole human person," said PS Paisie Sinait at the Chapel of the National Cathedral on Sunday.

The patriarchal vicar bishop highlighted the work of the Savior Jesus Christ from the Gospel account of the healing of the two demonized from the land of the Gadarenes.

"The release of the two demonized is the beginning of a return to true life, to communion with God and fellow men, to regaining the freedom that sin alters and evil falsifies."

His Eminence noted the verbal communication between the unclean spirits and the Savior Jesus Christ, emphasizing that the spirits recognized Him.

"We notice that the demons are the first characters in the Gospel who reveal the true identity of Jesus, whom they recognize as the "Son of God", but this knowledge does not lead to communion. Instead, the two demonized are freed through the direct encounter with Christ".
