The local proclamation of the canonization of St. Pious Antonina will take place, between October 2-4, at the Tismana Monastery, the place where she spent her years of monastic life.

The events will begin on Friday, October 2, with a thematic symposium dedicated to the saint canonized in 2025 by the Romanian Orthodox Church.

Entitled "From poverty to holiness. Saint Pious Antonina from Tismana and the spiritual tradition of Tismana", the event will bring together guests from the theological and academic fields.

The work of the symposium will continue on Saturday, October 3, until 13:00. In the continuation of the program, starting at 14:00, there will be the launch of a volume dedicated to the pious saint, in which biographical aspects and the spiritual life of the Tismana Monastery are captured.

On the same day, from 18:00, the Vigil service will be held. The next day, Sunday, October 4, the Holy Liturgy will be celebrated at 09:00, culminating with the local proclamation of the canonization.
