Yes, Emil, practical things are remembered the longest. Here in Sofia, the grandmothers still make special small loaves of bread with a cross on top for Epiphany and the children take them home. And does your 20-year-old son still help in the kitchen or does he only eat the prepared food? 😊
They are doing well to start classes in the Pyatnitsky church. When our children were small, they were bored with the sermons, but when they learned to sing something simple to Saint Nicholas, they remembered it for months. I hope they put in a simple trope as well, not just a theory.
