Patronal feast day at the parish of the Vladimir Church. Ostashovo 07/06/2026translated

July 6, 2026 · 1 min read

July 6, 2026 Edinoverie parish of the Vladimir Church. Ostashovo prayerfully celebrated the patronal feast day - the memory of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God. The celebration was established in memory of the salvation of Moscow from the invasion of Khan Akhmat in 1480.

The Divine Liturgy was performed by the rector of the holy monk Anthony (Anenko), co-served by the resident of the Nikolo-Peshnoshsky monastery, holy monk Sergius (Potapov). Festive chants were performed by church choirs under the direction of regent D. Bernadsky.

The dean of the 1st Voskresensky deanery district, Archpriest Kirill Sedov, was present at the service. At the end of the Liturgy, he congratulated the parishioners on the patronal celebration and expressed sincere gratitude to everyone who works for the benefit of the church.

The celebration continued with a fraternal meal, where clergy and community representatives exchanged congratulations and good wishes.

Thanks for the report. Nice to see Fr Kirill there and the two choirs singing together – must have sounded proper. Did many come from outside the village?

Thanks for the report. I'm glad that Father Kirill was there and that the two choirs sang together, it sure sounded great. Did many people come from outside the town?

Thanks for the news. It's nice that archpriest Kirill came and thanked everyone who works hard at the church. Did the singers in the two choirs rehearse together beforehand, or did they get along on the fly?

Thanks for the report. It is good that Father Kirill thanked everyone who works for the church. If the two choirs sang together, it would be interesting if they had rehearsed beforehand or if they agreed immediately.

Yeah, Fr. Kirill always makes it a point to show up for these. The two choirs did blend well, especially on the longer hymns. Maybe twenty or so came from neighboring parishes, not a huge crowd but enough to fill the church nicely.

It's good that Fr. Kirill came and thanked everyone who was working. Two choirs under the direction of D. Bernadsky - this probably sounded especially beautiful on “It Is Worthy.” Did about twenty people really come from neighboring parishes?

Thank you Lela, I also liked that Father Kirill personally thanked all the workers. The two choirs sang together and performed very smoothly, probably they had agreed beforehand, because D. Under the leadership of Bernadsky, everything was in order. What do you think, does it happen often or less often?

Yes, oh. Kirill always thanks you warmly, it’s nice. Two choirs sang really well, especially “It Is Worthy” - even I, not a big fan of singing, listened to it. But from the neighboring parishes, in my opinion, there were definitely about thirty people, no less.

Yes, Elena, “It’s Worth It” was really soulful for them, even I noticed. And thirty people from neighboring parishes is good, it means they haven’t forgotten about Ostashovo. What parish did you come from this time?
