On September 29, 2026, a scientific and practical conference “Interethnic relations and the prevention of ethno-religious extremism among youth” began at the Southern Federal University in Rostov-on-Don.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Mercury of Rostov and Novocherkassk, the conference was attended by the head of the Diocesan Department for Relations of the Church with Society and the Media, Archpriest Daniil Azizov, and the deputy head of the Diocesan Department for Youth Affairs and Missionary Service, Priest Evgeny Miklashov.

The event was moderated by Andrey Bedrik, director of the Institute of Sociology and Regional Studies of the Southern Federal University.
