Representatives of the Department for Family Affairs, Protection of Motherhood and Childhood visited the regional stage of the republican competition “Family of the Year”translated

On September 3, 2026, the regional stage of the republican competition “Family of the Year” was held at the Brest Puppet Theater, in which 5 large families took part.

At the opening of the event, the director of the Department of State Labor Inspection of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, A.V., spoke. Semich, who emphasized that in 2022 a family from the Brest region had already won at the republican level, so we can hope for victory in 2026.

In the Brest region in 2026, 98 families took part in the qualifying stages of the competition. The winners of regional selections from Drogichinsky, Kamenetsky, Kobrin, Maloritsky and Pruzhansky districts presented their family programs.

Before awarding the winners, the chairman of the jury, chairman of the committee on labor, employment and social protection of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, Gennady Skrobot, noted that 24 thousand large families live in the region. About 4.2 thousand women were awarded the Order of the Mother.

As a result of the competition, the winner was the Sviridyuk family from the Kobrin district, which will represent the Brest region at the republican stage.
