Okay, a good meeting between them. I wonder if they also talked about the practical aids for the people in the area, especially now when they are needed.

Hopefully they really talked about concrete help, like medicine or warm clothing for the people in the area. Such meetings are good, but in the end what counts is what really resonates with people.

I hope they talked about the meds and blankets people need there like others have said. These meetings are good, but the question is whether the aids actually reach the homes.

Yes, the meeting seems practical. I read that their department has been sending concrete aid to Luhansk and Donetsk since last year - blankets, medicine, dry food. Do you think they should focus more on day care centers for the elderly there?

I agree, Despina, the medicine and the blankets are what are missing the most right now. Panteleimon knows the situation there well, so I hope they discussed them specifically. How do you learn news from the area?

Yes, I think they discussed that too, these meetings rarely stick to generalities. Last year they sent mostly blankets and medicine, but now it would be useful to see how the mobile medical centers there are doing. What kind of practical help would you consider a priority for the area?

Anca Munteanu
Yes, those practical aids arrived on time, especially the blankets and medicine. Senior day centers would be a good idea, but I think they would go hand in hand with a local volunteer program to keep them open weekly. What do you think, would there be enough people there to get involved?
