On August 10, the day of the festival in honor of the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God, called “Hodegetria” (Guide), established on the occasion of the bringing of this shrine from Constantinople in 1046, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ. His Eminence was served by the clergyman and clergy of the cathedral. At the end of the Divine Liturgy, glorification was performed in front of the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God “Hodegetria”.
