Orthodox youth of Kazan conduct excursions around the capital of the republictranslated
Prikhody.ru 09.09.2026. Sergius Church in Kazan launched an educational project “History on the Go” with walking tours for young people to the holy places of the city.
“The initiative to conduct excursions for young people came from the young people themselves. It is important to support the initiative, to listen to her opinion,” says priest Artemy Lushkin, head of the department for work with youth of the Kazan diocese, rector of the St. Sergius Church in Kazan.
According to the website of the Tatarstan Metropolis, during the first walk, which took place in early September, the children visited the churches of the Kazan Mother of God Monastery and became more deeply acquainted with the history of the bishop's metochion of St. Sergius of Radonezh. The excursion was led by the author of the idea, Timofey Nazimov. Information about upcoming excursions will be published in the St. Sergius Church community.
