Screening of the documentary “Where the Happy Live. Iversky Monastery"translated

At the XIX International Film Festival “Salt of the Earth” in Samara, the premiere screening of the documentary film “Where the Happy Live” took place. Iversky Monastery. The picture, created with the blessing of Metropolitan Theodosius of Samara and Novokuybyshevsk, was sent to the film forum by the management of the Samara-GIS TV channel. The author and director of the film is Nadezhda Kosmirova, a member of the Culture and Media Council of the Samara Diocese. The documentary is dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the Samara province and the Samara diocese. It talks about the founding of the Iversky Convent in the 19th century, its fate during the years of Soviet persecution and its modern revival. Particular attention in the film is paid to the Iverskaya Women's Gymnasium - the only Orthodox educational institution for girls in the Samara region, where, under the leadership of the abbess of the monastery, Abbess Lyubov (Chusova), the traditions of classical education and upbringing continue.

The film reveals the essence of monastic service, talks about the spiritual life of the monastery, its connection with the holy passion-bearer Tsar Nicholas II, the intercession of the Mother of God and the holy righteous Alexander Chagrinsky.
