TCSON wards visited the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Logoisktranslated

July 8, 2026 · 1 min read

On July 7, 2026, on the day of remembrance of the Nativity of the Venerable Glorious Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord John, special guests visited the parish of the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in the city of Logoisk. They were guys from the department of social rehabilitation, habilitation of the disabled and support of active longevity in the conditions of day care at the TCSON.

The rector of the church, Priest Sergius Panasik, together with the parishioners warmly welcomed the guests. Together they prayed at the Divine Liturgy, many of the visitors confessed and received the Holy Mysteries of Christ. Rainy weather could not dampen the atmosphere of this day. On the contrary, sincere prayer and communication with the priest and parishioners filled the hearts of all participants in the meeting with quiet joy and spiritual light. This visit was another evidence that the doors of the church are open to every person in need of spiritual support and the warmth of the Christian community.

It is good that the children from the center found the opportunity to go to the church of Saint John the Forerunner that day. Father Sergius and the parishioners welcomed them with kindness, and the fact that many went to confession and received communion shows how important the support of the community is. The rain didn't spoil anything after all.

It’s good that these young people from the rehabilitation center were able to come precisely on Saint John the Baptist’s Day. Father Serge and the parishioners welcomed them warmly, and the fact that many went to confession and received communion shows that the door of the church truly remains open for all. The rain didn't spoil anything, on the contrary.

It's good that the kids from TCSON arrived just in time for St. Patrick's Day. John the Baptist. Groups from the center also sometimes come to us in Hajnówka and we always see how good confession and Communion is for them. The rain didn't stop us - the most important thing is that my heart opened.

Good thing they came just on the day of St. John the Baptist. In our parish, there were once some elders from the day care center and after confession and communion, their faces lit up, although it was raining lightly like there. People need this more often.

Yes, it’s really good that they came right on Saint John the Baptist’s Day. At home in Marseille we also see that these visits are good for young people, even when it rains like that day. Did Father Serge speak with them for a long time after the liturgy?

Good thing they came right on St. John the Baptist's day. Even here in Gjirokastër, they come from the rehabilitation center from time to time, and after the communion confession they seem much calmer, even when it rains. Did priest Sergj talk to them for a long time after the liturgy?

Good thing they went right on the Nativity of St. John the Baptist. Several grandmothers from the day care center came to us in Ruse last year, after confession and communion their faces relaxed, even though it was raining. I wonder if Father Sergius spoke to them after the service about the Forerunner himself.

Yes, it’s true that choosing the day of Saint John the Baptist gives even more meaning to their visit. At home, we have already received groups from the social center and we see that confession and communion really bring them something concrete. Have you already participated in welcoming these young people to the church?
N
Nicolas Martin
Yes, the choice of Saint John the Baptist’s day makes the visit even more memorable. At home in Toulouse we have not yet welcomed a group from the social center, but I have already seen young people from catechism go to confession for the first time and leave feeling lighter. Do these visits come often to your parish?

Daniel Dumitrescu
Well said, Bogdan. In our parish, we noticed the same thing with some ladies from the recovery center: after they confessed and received communion, it was as if the tiredness disappeared from their eyes, even though it was gloomy outside. I think we should organize such visits more often, maybe even monthly.

Ilie Radu
Yes, here too, after confession and communion, people's faces change, even when it's raining outside. They came to Logoishk exactly on the day of St. John the Baptist, which gave even greater weight to the visit. Do you think it would work to propose to TCNSON a fixed monthly date, or better to see how they respond the first time?
R
Radu Nistor
Yes, Ilia, here too, after confession and communion, people are enlightened, even on rainy days. The visit on the day of Saint John the Baptist really gave an extra grace. I say let's first wait for their reaction after this visit, let's not force them with a fixed date from the beginning.

Daniela Dobre
Yes, Radu, it's exactly the same with us - after confession and communion, it's as if the person's face changes, regardless of the rain. This visit on St. John's Day really seems to have hit home well. Do you think it would be a good idea to send them a simple invitation in a couple of weeks and see how they feel?
M
Marius Marin
Yes, Radu, you're right, let's wait a bit for their reaction, so that it doesn't seem like an obligation. With us, after such visits, some come again after a month, others don't, but it feels like they have something left of that peace. Do you think it would be good to give them a sign through someone from the center, not directly from the parish?
G
Gheorghe Radu
Yes, Daniela, I have also seen many times how after confession and communion people's eyes light up, even on rainy days like this. The invitation in two weeks seems like a good idea to me, maybe we can even offer them a little walk around the churchyard if the weather cooperates with us. How about we write them together?
B
Bogdan Barbu
Yes, Gheorghe, I've also noticed how people's faces change after confession and communion, even when it's raining. The idea of walking through the yard seems good to me, especially since we have enough space and the trees provide shade. We're writing the invitation together, how about we do it by Tuesday?
D
Daniela Popescu
Yes, I too have seen the eyes light up after communion, even on a rainy day like that. In our parish, we could also take a walk through the yard after the service, our trees provide good shade. Let's write the invitation together by Tuesday, how about we also send it to the elderly center near us?
I
Ilie Ionescu
Yes, that light in your eyes after communion is clear, even when it's raining. In our parish, we could take a walk in the yard after the service, our trees give good shade, as you say. Let's write the invitation by Tuesday, how about we also mention what program they have at the senior center, to match?
R
Radu Gheorghiu
Yes, Bogdan, I too have seen how people change after confession, even with that rain. There is plenty of room in our churchyard near the big oak tree, it would be good to take a walk there. We're writing the invitation together by Tuesday, how about sending it to the school next door?
C
Corina Stan
Yes, Daniela, and in our parish we have noticed many times how after communion some people keep straighter, even if they come with sticks. The invitation in two weeks is good, but maybe we could also prepare some simple homemade cakes for them, so they don't come empty-handed. What do you think, is it worth telling them ahead of time?
I
Ioana Stoica
Yes, Gheorghe, I have also seen many times how the look changes after communion, even in the rain. The proposal with the walk through the yard seems appropriate to me, especially since in Logoișk they also have that alley with flowers near the bell tower. We're writing the invite together by Tuesday, how about mentioning a simple snack after?
A
Ana Ciobanu
Yes, Radu, I have also seen how faces light up after confession, even on a rainy day. That oak tree in the yard is a good place to walk, the children from TCNSON would be quiet there. Let's write the invitation by Tuesday, but also add a mention of hot tea afterwards, because they always like it.
D
Daniela Ciobanu
Yes, Ana, you're right about that oak tree in the yard, it's shady and quiet even after the rain. I would also add some simple homemade biscuits to the invitation, as my grandchildren always enjoy them after tea. Let's meet Monday night at the parish to put everything on paper?
N
Nicolae Nistor
Yes, Ana, I also noticed how the faces change after confession, even with that rain. The oak in the yard is indeed a good place, but I would suggest adding a short walk through the back orchard, as it is drier there after the rain. See you Monday night?
N
Nicolae Stoica
Yes, Corina, I also saw in our house how some go after communion, even with a cane in hand. The idea of simple home-made rolls seems good to me, don't come empty-handed. Do you think it would be better to prepare them with walnuts or poppy seeds to make them last longer?
