This cooperation with the schools is good. In Kirillovo they have many monasteries around, the children will learn their history up close. I hope they put some carpentry class in the workshops too, not just stick to the books.

It is good that children from Kiryłłów will be able to learn about their monasteries not only from books. In our parishes, we sometimes invite schools to workshops, and they always ask about how buildings were built and painted in the past. I wonder if this agreement will include something about practical classes, as Nikos mentions.

It’s good that we reached an agreement with the Kirillovsky District. In Yekaterinburg, too, sometimes schools take us on excursions to monasteries, and then the children themselves ask to make something with their hands—a candlestick or a simple icon on a board. I wonder if the agreement will contain something about workshops, as the Greek Nikos wrote.

It is good that this agreement started with the blessing of Metropolitan Sava. In our parish, primary school children sometimes come to workshops and they always ask the most about how candles were made and boards painted in the past. I wonder if in Kiryłłów they will include something practical in these monasteries, because the lectures themselves get boring quickly.

Here in Lublin, children also become most animated when doing something with their hands, not when listening. I wonder if in Kiryłłów they will just give them wax and wick, because such workshops stay in the mind for a long time. What does such a visit look like in your parish - only primary school children or do older people also come?

I wonder what exactly they have planned for these practical classes - in Warsaw, during workshops in the parish, kids always spend most of their time working on simple icons on a board and making clay bricks, and then they ask if they did the same in monasteries. Good thing it's not just a theory. What do you most often show in your parishes?
