Yes, in North Ossetia they really adhere to the old models of loyalty and patience. Last year in our community we had a small celebration with an icon and prayers on July 8th, which was very quiet and beautiful. Does anyone know whether there are still old wedding customs in the villages that go along with this?

In our parish, on July 8, the priest always mentions the family of Peter and Fevronia at the service and reminds us that their patience kept the marriage, not the nice words. In my village near Sibiu, the elders still advise young people before the wedding, but I see that fewer and fewer listen to them.
