Patriarchs Justin and Teoctist were commemorated at the Patriarchal Cathedral: Apostles of our nationtranslated

Patriarchs Iustin Moisescu and Teoctist Arăpașu were commemorated on Thursday at the Patriarchal Cathedral. Father Archim. Clement Haralam, Grand Ecclesiarch of the Patriarchal Cathedral, emphasized that the two patriarchs of the Romanian Orthodox Church became, through their service, "apostles of our nation".
The parastas service was performed on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Patriarch Iustin's transition to eternal life, on July 31, and the 19th anniversary of Patriarch Teoctist's transition to the Lord on July 30.
Referring to their spiritual and theological formation, the Great Ecclesiarch of the Patriarchal Cathedral showed that it left its mark on all their pastoral-missionary work.
"Guided during their lives by great clergymen of Romania, the two patriarchs acquired a deep spiritual and theological formation, which was found in all the pastoral-missionary work put at the service of the faithful Romanian Christians".
