Patriarch Shio III thanks clergy for their contribution to values education in schools

Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia Shio III expressed his gratitude to the clergy and all those involved in the “Values Education” project, highlighting their efforts to promote moral and spiritual formation among young people.
In a message issued on June 15, 2026, Patriarch Shio thanked everyone working tirelessly to ensure that values education becomes an important component of school life, helping students develop strong moral principles and become responsible and worthy citizens.
The Patriarch specifically commended the Georgian Patriarchate’s Public Relations Service and the clergy participating in the initiative for their dedication throughout the year in establishing and supporting “Values Clubs” in schools across the country.
He also noted the exceptional devotion demonstrated by many of the project’s participants during the days following the repose of the late Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II. According to Patriarch Shio, clergy members showed remarkable commitment to the Church by organizing memorial services, maintaining vigil at the Patriarch’s grave, and assisting with the funeral and subsequent ecclesiastical events with great responsibility and dedication.…
