Pilgrimage of parishioners of the Church of the Transfiguration to Polotsktranslated

On September 19–20, 2026, parishioners of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord took part in a pilgrimage to Polotsk, organized by the Information Department of the Gomel Diocese.

The pilgrims visited the Spaso-Euphrosinievsky Convent, where they took part in the All-Night Vigil and Divine Liturgy. Participants also prayed at the prayer service of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk, revered as the heavenly patroness and intercessor of the Belarusian land.

The route continued with a visit to St. Sophia Cathedral, where the participants attended an organ music concert, as well as a sightseeing tour of Polotsk.

Then the pilgrims visited the Epiphany Cathedral of the Polotsk diocese. Here they prayed at the relics of the holy martyr Konstantin Zhdanov, canonized by the Belarusian Orthodox Church in 2011.

The trip ended with a visit to the Museum of Belarusian Printing. The 15 halls of the museum present the history of book production in Belarus - from antiquity to the present day.
