Pilgrimage trip Synkovichi-Zhirovichi-Rusakovotranslated

On July 22, with the blessing of the parish clergyman of the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, Priest Pavel Iosko, a joint pilgrimage trip took place for the parish's Sunday school students, their parents and teachers. The School of Spiritual Formation “At the Origins of Our Faith” of the Department for Supporting Active Longevity of the State Institution “TCSON of the Dokshitsy District” also took part.

Everyone followed the route: ag. Synkovichi – temple-monument of St. Archangel Michael – Zhirovichi Holy Dormition Monastery – convent in honor of St. Ambrose of Optina, village of Rusakovo.

The trip began with a prayer service for the beginning of a good deed, which Father Pavel served and sprinkled holy water on the pilgrims.

Despite the rain that accompanied the trip, the Zelven land greeted us with sunshine and an interesting excursion about the history of the fortress-temple of St. Michael the Archangel. At the miraculous icon “The All-Tsarina,” Father Paul served a prayer service to the Most Holy Theotokos.

A warm welcome awaited us at the Zhirovichi Monastery: a joint meal, a fascinating tour of the territory, a prayer service at the spring under the temple, swimming in the spring and a meeting with a fellow countryman - Archpriest Gennady Login. All these events will remain in memory forever.…
