Feast of Panagia Tricherousis in Limassoltranslated

The Synaxis of the Virgin of the so-called Tricherousis was celebrated with particular splendor in the celebratory holy church of the same name in Kapsalos. On Saturday, July 11, the solemn Vespers of our Eminence Metropolitan Mr. Athanasios was celebrated, with the participation of priests of our Diocese and a multitude of believers who came reverently to honor the Most Holy Theotokos.

On Sunday, July 12, a High Priestly Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the preeminent of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Bostra Mr. Timotheus, Exarch of the Holy Sepulcher in Cyprus.

Thanks for sharing this. The Vespers with Metropolitan Athanasios on the 11th must have been beautiful with all those faithful turning up at Kapsalos. I hope the icon of Panagia Tricherousa looked especially radiant during the services.

Yeah, the Vespers on the 11th sounded solid with Metropolitan Athanasios leading and all those people showing up at Kapsalos. Nice to see the Exarch of the Holy Sepulchre, Metropolitan Timotheos, there for the Divine Liturgy the next day too. Hope the icon got carried in procession.

Yeah, the turnout at Kapsalos really filled the church both nights. I was there for the Liturgy on Sunday and the procession with the icon was straightforward and moving, just like you hoped. Did you make it down from Limassol yourself?
