Holy Vigil for the collection of the holy relic of Agios Nektarios in Evangelistria Karditsistranslated

On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, on the commemoration of the collection of the holy remains of our holy father Nektarios, Bishop of Pentapolis in Aegina, a holy Vigil was held in the Holy Church of Evangelistria Karditsis, presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Thessaliotidos and Phanariofersalon etc. Timothy. At our school, during the lessons of the Law of God, we were talking about Saint Nektarios with the children - about his patience and how he forgave everyone who offended him. It’s interesting that a piece of his relics is kept in this church in Karditsa; probably, many locals come to pray to it. But in St. Petersburg, unfortunately, we don’t have such a shrine.
