Arkalochoriou Andreas at the finish of the 11th Half Marathon of Cretetranslated

The 11th Half Marathon of Crete, organized by the ATHLI.S.Y Association and held in Arkalochori on Sunday, October 4, 2026, was completed with great success. Over 6,000 athletes of all ages, young and old, from Greece and from 52 other countries, ran the half marathon route starting in Arkalochori, Humeri, Galata, Voni, Thrapsano and ending again in Arkalochori.

The presence at the half-marathon was given by Rev. Pastor Mr. Andreas, Mayor Minoa Pediados Mr. Vassilis Kegeroglou, Members of Parliament Mr. Lefteris Avgenakis and Mr. Frangiskos Parasyris, Deputy Regional Governors Mr. Nikos Syrigonakis and Mr. Nikos Skoulas, the President of the Chamber of Heraklion Mr. Vangelis Karkanakis, the gold medalist Ms. Voula Patoulidou, Deputy Mayors of the Municipality of Minoa Pediada, Representatives of Local Bodies and Associations as well as thousands of visitors from all over Greece.
