The Holy Monastery of Agioi Anargyro Parnonas celebratedtranslated

On Wednesday July 1, 2026, our Church honored the memory of the healing Saints Anargyri, Cosmas and Damianos, and in our Holy Metropolis the eponymous historical Holy Monastery on Parnonas celebrated with ecclesiastical magnificence. In particular, in the afternoon of the eve, the solemn High Priestly Vespers was celebrated with a sacrificial offering of the Theophilus Bishop of Lacedaemonia, Mr. Theophilos.

On the holy day, the solemn Orthros with artoklasia and the High Priestly Divine Liturgy presided over by our Reverend Metropolitan Mr. Efstathios were held. In the melodious speech he addressed to the numerous devout pilgrims, the Pastor suggested three characteristics of the honored Saints: youth, education and their unending love for fellow human beings.

Concluding, he wished the brotherhood of the Monastery and the congregation to have the grace and protection of the Saints Anargyri. This was followed, in a joyful atmosphere, by the traditional treat in the monastery hall.

In the afternoon of the same day, Vespers were celebrated on the feast of the Deposition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Blachernais and a Holy Prayer to the Saints Anargyros.
