General Assembly of the vicars of the Holy Metropolis of Serrestranslated
A General Meeting of the priests of the Serre Church took place today, Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the church camp "GALILEA" of the Holy Metropolis of Serres and Nigritis, in Chrysopigi Serres. After the end of the Liturgy, officiated by Rev. Metropolitan of Serres and Mr. Nigritis Theologus, in the holy Chapel of St. Twelve Apostles and Hos. Silouanos of Athonitos, the Consecration ceremony was held, upon entering the new church year. Afterwards, a rich breakfast was served to all the clergy present.
Subsequently, the Most Reverend Pastor of the Serres and Nigritis Church, Mr. Theologos, on the occasion of the entry into the new union of the Lord's goodness, developed, with patristic and hagiographical references, thoughts useful for the upcoming spiritual, sanctifying and missionary work of the clergy.
His Eminence spoke to the clergy about the soul-damaging scope of divisions, schisms, selfish self-sufficiency and self-referentiality, exhorting them to simultaneously preserve theophilestate, as he characteristically noted, humility, ecclesiastical unity and eutaxia.
