The Metropolitan of Kozani on the de-Christianization of Greece (VIDEO)translated

The de-Christianization of Greek society, but also the danger - as he described it - of a gradual "de-nationalization", was mentioned, among others, by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Serbia and Kozani, Mr. Pavlos, in today's (13/9) sermon at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Nikolaos, Kozani.
The Metropolitan, having previously referred to the Elevation of the Holy Cross and the relationship between faith and the Greek historical path, argued that de-Christianization in the country has progressed to a very large extent, even using the figure of "80-90%". He specifically stated: "Greece was de-Christianized to 80-90%." I'm calling it out," to add right after: "I'm afraid that denationalization has also begun. And that is the dangerous thing.'
Continuing, he connected his concern with the knowledge of Greek history and cultural heritage by the younger generations, addressing the faithful with the question: "Have you ever sat down to ask your children, your grandchildren, what Kolokotronis, Karaiskakis, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle mean?"
