The faithful in Kazan received the hand of Saint Spyridontranslated

On the evening of August 21, 2026, the reliquary containing the right hand of Saint Spyridon of Trimythundos arrived in Kazan. The holy relic was accompanied by members of the Greek delegation, led by the Metropolitan of Corfu, Paxos and Diapontian Islands Mr. Nektarios. The Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Mr. Kirillos welcomed the relic and the guests of the capital of Tatarstan at the port of the Kazan River. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Yury Kamaltinov, the First Deputy Chairman of the Kazan Municipality Denis Kalinkin and clergy of the Diocese of Kazan.

Then, the urn with the relics, accompanied by high priests and clergy, was carried to the Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan of Our Lady of Kazan Monastery.

At the end, Metropolitan Cyril blessed the faithful three times with the right hand of the Saint, while in his speech he said, among other things:
