Three-day Trisagio for the repose of the soul of Elder Chrysostomtranslated

With the blessing of His Beatitude Patriarch of Jerusalem and father of the Holy Sepulcher Brotherhood Mr. Theophilos III, His Eminence Archbishop Lyddis Mr. Dimitrios, after the Elder Dragoman of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem, Panosiology Archimandrite Fr. Matthew, and Fr. Claudio, spiritual children of the blessed Elder, celebrated today the three-day Trisagio for the repose of the soul of the blessed Elder, Chrysostomos, Hieromonk and Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Abba Gerasimos of Iordanitos.

In the silence of prayer and with deep emotion, the fathers performed the holy Trisaios, testifying their love, gratitude and prayer for the man of God who for so many years selflessly ministered to the Holy Land and the Holy Monastery of Abba Gerasimos.

May the Lord rest Father Chrysostomos. I read that Archbishop Dimitrios and Father Matthaios, who were his spiritual sons, served the trisaghion at the Avva Gerasim monastery. It's good that they didn't forget him so quickly.

It is good that Archbishop Dimitrios together with Fr. Matthew and Fr. Claudios, his spiritual children, went and did the three-day Trisagio at Abba Gerasimos Monastery. Elder Chrysostomos had ministered there for so many years with self-denial. Let us remember him in our prayer.

Yes, you say it right, Antonis. Especially Fr. Matthaios and Fr. Claudios who had him as a spiritual father, they will miss him very much. Let us also have him at the memorial services, just as he did for so many years in the Monastery of Abba Gerasimos.

Yes, Kostas, Fr. Matthaios and Fr. Claudios really had him as a father, you can see it from how they stood by him until the end. I remember him from the last time I went to the Monastery last year, he looked tired but still with that quiet kindness. Let us remember him regularly, as he did for so many.
