Clergy of the Holy Metropolis of Sofia: "Full support for Patriarch Daniel"translated

Today, July 30, 2026, in the "Exarchos Stefanos" hall of the Holy Metropolis of Sofia of the Bulgarian Patriarchate, with the blessing of His Beatitude the Metropolitan of Sofia and Patriarch of all Bulgaria, Mr. Daniel, the regular priestly meeting was held with the participation of superiors and clergy of the Bulgarian capital. The meeting, which was dedicated to the topic "Pastoral Ministry", had been convened a week earlier in connection with topical issues of pastoral care and spiritual guidance of the faithful. The work was presided over by His Beatitude the Patriarch Mr. Daniel. The Theophilist Bishops of Branitsi, Mr. Ioannis, first assistant Bishop of Metropolitan Sofia, and Mr. Isaac Velvuzdou, second assistant Bishop of Metropolitan Sofia, also participated.

In his opening speech, His Beatitude emphasized that the reason for convening the synod was primarily the pastoral challenges associated with the celebration of the holy Sacrament of Confession, which many clergy face in today's everyday life, full of problems and trials.
