The 1st period of the I.M. Primary School Girls' Camp Neapoleos in Makrynitsatranslated

July 16, 2026 · 1 min read

With the blessing of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Neapolis and Stavroupolis, Mr. Varnavas, the Elementary School Girls Camp (1st period), which was dedicated to the Virgin Mary and had a general theme of "Our Lady Axion Esti, Mana Glykia and Skepi mas", was concluded with great success on Friday, July 10, while the names of the individual groups were:

Birthday Crucifixion Christmas Wedding of Cana Arrest Submissive Revenues Evangelism Resurrection Sleeping

The group of Executives was called: Agia Skepi.

The headquarters, the team leaders, the staff, the doctor and the much-loved cook mothers, gave their best so that the girls could enjoy an amazing Camp that will be unforgettable.

On the eve of the departure in the evening, the traditional bonfire was lit, where the girls' amazing hymns were heard once again, while on Friday morning, after welcoming the Primary Boys, they said goodbye and renewed the appointment for next year.

It’s good that they dedicated the entire shift to the Most Holy Theotokos and gave each group a real church name - from “Annunciation” to “Assumption”. It is clear that the children did not just relax, but took away something important in their hearts. And the way they sang in front of the fire was downright enviable.

I agree, the names of the groups are strong; you immediately feel that everything revolved around the Mother of God. In our parish in Tula, we also try to ensure that the children don’t just run around, but at least remember a couple of real prayers. Did you go to such a camp yourself as a child or are you just observing it now?
