Arta will honor the memory of Saint Athanasios of Hamakiottranslated
On August 17, our Church honors the memory of Saint Athanasios of Hamakiot. In the Metropolitan Holy Church of Agios Dimitrios Artis, solemn Masses will be held for the feast of the Saint.
On Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. a High Priestly Vespers will be held, officiated by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Artis, Mr. Kallinikos.
On Monday, August 17, 2026, at 7 a.m. Orthros and the Divine Liturgy will be performed.
During the celebration, a fragment of the Holy Relic of Saint Athanasios of Hamakiot will be venerated.
Those who wish can come to the solemn Holy Masses, which will be held in honor and memory of the Saint, to worship the Holy Relic and ask for his embassies and blessing.
