The Patriarch of Bulgaria with the Holy Icon of the Virgin Mary in a hospital in Sofiatranslated

On August 3, the miraculous odoriferous icon of the Virgin Mary of Hawaii was brought to bless the patients in the clinics and nursing units of the University Emergency Hospital "N. I. Pirogov" in Sofia. The transfer of the holy relic was accompanied by clergy, headed by His Beatitude Metropolitan of Sofia and Patriarch of Bulgaria Mr. Daniel. Also present were the members of the entourage accompanying the holy icon during its stay in Bulgaria: His Eminence Bishop of London and Western Europe Mr. Irenaeus, elder Nektarios Youngson, guardian of the miraculous icon, archpriest Spasimir Ivanov and elder Ilias Marzhev.

The Blessed Patriarch and his entourage were welcomed by the director of the hospital, Dr. Valentin Dimitrov, as well as doctors and management officials.

The clergy anointed the patients with holy myrrh, who also received blessed cotton soaked with myrrh from the miraculous icon of the Most Holy Theotokos.
