The Metropolitan of Philippi at the celebratory Holy Church of Agioi Anargyro in the Acropolis of Thessalonikitranslated

July 5, 2026 · 1 min read

The memory of Saints Cosmas and Damianos Anargyros was celebrated with particular splendor in the celebratory Church of the same name on the Acropolis of Thessaloniki. On the day named after him, July 1, 2026, a solemn High Priestly Divine Liturgy was held, during which the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Philippi, Neapolis and Thassos Mr. Stefanos officiated.

Before the dismissal, His Eminence preached the divine word to the crowded congregation, referring to the faces of the honored Saints, and thanked the Metropolitan of Thessaloniki, Mr. Filotheos, for the fraternal invitation, so that he could preside over the Feast and be among the blessed flock of the Parish of the Saints Anargyro Acropolis.
