Professor of Psychiatry Christos Liapis at Stockholm Cathedraltranslated

On the occasion of his participation in the 26th World Congress of Psychiatry, which took place in Stockholm from September 23 to 26, 2026, the Assistant Professor of Psychiatry of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Dr. Christos X. Liapis, visited this morning, Saturday, September 26, 2026, the Cathedral of St. George in Stockholm, Seat of the Holy Metropolis of Sweden and all of Scandinavia. Mr. Liapis prayerfully attended the Divine Liturgy, which was celebrated on the feast of the Transfiguration of the Holy Glorious Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian.

After the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Sweden and all Scandinavia, Mr. Kleopas, welcomed the distinguished Greek scientist with particular joy and referred to the long-term bonds of acquaintance and friendship that connect them.

Their acquaintance goes back to the period during which Mr. Liapis was retraining at Tufts University and Tufts Medical Center in Boston, while His Eminence served at the Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Virgin of New England, in Boston.
