Metropolitan of Piraeus Mr. Seraphim: "We are before the great feast of unity" Yesterday, Friday, August 14, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Piraeus, Mr. Seraphim, was on the historic island of Hydra for the Great Feast of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, following the kind invitation of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Hydra, Spetses and Aegina, Mr. Ephraim, in order to preside over the Holy Masses in Cathedral Church of the Dormition of the Virgin of Hydra.

The Holy Masses held today, on the eve of the holiday, as well as the solemn Divine Liturgy of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, are broadcast live, across the length and breadth of the earth, by the television stations MEGA, Mega News and ONE.
