Perpetual Holy Synod: Completes its work on August 25 and 26 - Which Synods take over in Septembertranslated

Report office ope.gr Its work is completed on August 25 and 26, 2026 by the current Permanent Holy Synod of the Church of Greece of the 169th Synodical Period which is expected to meet in the Synodal Palace and deal with issues of the Agenda.  According to the information of ope.gr, the new composition of the Permanent Holy Synod - 170th Synodical Period - is expected to meet during the two days of September 9 and 10.

The BIS of the 170th Synodical Period will consist of the following Synodical Metropolitans:

Mithimnis Chrysostomos.

Mytilini, Eressos and Plomariou Iakovos.

Goumenissa, Axioupoleos and Polykastro Dimitrios.

Berea and Naousis Panteleimon.

Didymoteichos, Orestiados and Souflios Damascenes.

Messinias Chrysostomos.

Lefkada and Ithaki Theophilos.

Thebes, Levadeia and Avlidos Georgios.

Paranaxia Kalliniko.

Phokidos Theoktistos.

Artis Kalliniko.

Dryinoupoleos, Pogoniani and Konitsa Alexio.
