In the celebrating Holy Monastery Prof. Iliou Ag. Spirit, officiated by Rev. Metropolitan of Serres and Nigritis, Mr. Theologos, on Sunday, July 19, 2026. After the blessing of the festive bread, His Holiness taught the people of God with spiritual and supporting words, emphasizing among others the following:

"The glorious Elias, the greatest of the Prophets, once again this year brought the faithful Christians to this holy parthenon of sleepless prayer, of the Christ-like life and solitary asceticism, in order to nourish spiritually, to awaken consciences, to strengthen human souls, crushed by sin, and our age is similar in many ways to the age in which he lived Prof. Elias, to show a way of life in accordance with the will of God.

The incarnate angel, the scourge of the Prophets, the second forerunner of the presence of Christ, the voice of God, the glorious Elias the Thesbite, with a clear, powerful, pedagogic, philanthropic, selfless, impersonal speech, without embellishing human passions and weaknesses, especially of the rulers of his time, with his divinely inspired and uncompromising voice, in in the spiritual wilderness of human sin and depravity,…
